2012 Eden Valley Riesling

From the best vintage I have seen in the Barossa in 25 years, the 2012 Eden Valley Riesling is a great follow up to the inaugural 2011 vintage. The fruit is sourced from a single site planted in the early 1920’s. This wine shows all the hallmarks of the variety: Great lifted aromas of lemon and lime oil on the nose. The palate is focused and linear, with an earthy, wet stone like extract, with citrus zest to close the finish. A slightly riper style than the 2011, it offers great current drinking.
