A textural blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. Don’t think too much about the individual varieties though, think Friday night and a crisp white. Unashamedly influenced by my love of the Rhone Valley. This year’s release shows great lifted aromatics of nashi pear, spice and a lovely textural palate. Pairs well with friends, food and the weekend.

A blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. Nashi pear, custard apple, waxed lemon rind, jasmine and dried chamomile. You live or die by how you handle phenolics in a wine like this, and Smith is a master. There’s a firm phenolic grip, but it’s the kind that guides not strangles. Serious white wine with beautiful texture, deft balance and drinkability.
